Is it possible to fire form 7.62 brass to .308?  Would doing so damage the chamber?  If this is reasonable, can someone recommend loading data.

Thanks, Spook

Externally, 7.62x51 and the .308 Win are the same. Generally, 7.62x51 brass is heavier, and therefore has less internal capacity than .308 brass. I suggest using the starting data, and working up carefully when using 7.62x51 in place of .308 brass. (of course, we all should be doing that anyways...).

7.62x51 and .308 chambers are slightly different, but loading to .308 specs it won't be an issue in this case.
