The original Peacemaker Single Action Army was produced by Colt starting in 1873(IIRC), and was chambered in .45 Long.  These guns bring premium prices in todays market and are well out of my income level.

You might take a look at Cabelas Gun Library from time to time. They occasionally have original black powder era Colt Single Action Army revolvers catalogued for sale, as well as other period pieces. As previously noted, they tend to be out of reach or budget-busters for most of us, but the Gun Library is an interesting place you can visit online to see fairly high-quality pictures of a variety of firearms old and new.
