What press do you use?I started out on an old Lyman multi turret.I soon bought me a Rock chucker and I`m still using that rascal today.Maybe one day I`ll take the plunge and buy a Dillon progressive.For the money in a single stage press,the RCBS RockChucker is hard to beat.;)

My set up is not quite as fancy a yours.
I started with an old Pacific press back in 64. I wore it out, and then had a Herter's press. Sometime in the mid 80's I upgraded to a Rockchucker, and still have it today. I load all my rifle ammo on it. In 96 , I bought a Dillon Square Deal B, for handguns,as I was going through about 1000 rds of light .357's a month, teaching handgun classes . That handling brass 3-4 times each got old, and it was taking me hours and hours to get it done.
Now I can load 3-400 rds per hour an dthe powder throw is much more accurate. I rencently got conversions kits fro 45ACP, and 44 mag. It takes about 15 minutes to change calibers, but all the adjustmenst are set and don't need to be reset except for the powder setting and primer feed.
In the last week, I have loaded 500 + rounds of 45, 800 .357 and about 400 44's, and I have been goimg to the range once a week and burning up 4-500 rds each time.
Great fun.
I just came into a lot of powder and 45 bullets, and I have 8000 .357 cast bullets left. SO all I ahve to buyt are primers.

I use a RCBS rock chucker single stage as well as an old pacific rotating head loader.
Also started using a Redding charger which really speeds things along.

I started with a Lee press. It lasted about 4 years, and then simply broke while resizing some 223 brass. I immediately bought a Rock Chucker and that sucker has been doing great. I load 44spcl, 44mag, 223, 22-250, 308, 270, and some 45 Colt. Also some 38/357, 40/10mm, and a bunch of 9mm, but not lately. The RC has handled everything with ease.
Although I like the idea of a multi-stage press I don't have any desire to get one. I only load for my bolt guns and a couple revolvers, and I don't want to get back into trying to keep up with my 9mm and other semi-autos. That became more work than fun. If it's something you'd like to have I'd say go for it. Heck, 6MM might get a good workout on that thing. ;)

I just got a Dillon 550 used. It'll let me load both handgun and rifle. The only gripe I have is the price of the caliber conversion kits, though after buying a few you would have all the components for any calibre change. It might be cheaper to just get a Lee Aniversary Kit for my rifles.

I started when I was a kid with an Ideal (now Lyman) Tong Tool and cast bullets for a .30-30 in 1956. Didn't get into serious reloading until I got out of the Army in late '68. A Herter's was my first real press (now retired). Now I use a Pacific, a Redding Boss and a Lee Loadmaster for metallics. For shotgun I still use my original press, a MEC Super 250, but have added four MEC 600 Jrs and two MEC 650s. I have a Lee O-Frame to size cast bullets.
Loaded commercially for a few years, but all the tooling I had for that went when I sold the business.

It's a good press, but if I was in the market for another single-stage, I'd probably go for Redding's Big Boss or Lee's new cast-iron press. Either one of them has the size and leverage to FL resize a .50 BMG, and both have a good price tag on them. Lee's is cheaper.
As far as dies, I buy almost all LEE now, but have some Redding, RCBS, Pacific and Herter's. Don't like Hornady's dies.

As you can see by the pictures, I load on several. My newest edition is the Redding T-7 Turret Press. This thing is massive and well built! It's the only turret press I would consider. I also like my Dillon RL-450. It has the manual primeing and powder charge system. It's nice because it lets me use all 3 of my powder measures. Dillon, Lyman, or my Redding. It's also hard to beat the RCBS Rockchucker. Mine is 70's vintage and still works like it was brand new. billt

A RCBS JR2, was $1 in a garage sale because it would not move, took it apart, centered the pin that connects the link to the ram and it does fine now, also have a Lee that came free with the loading manual, does everything the RCBS will, I just do not use it to reform cases.

My first kit was the LEE anneverary kit. I sold it in a month. Then I went and bought the RCBS Rocker Chucker master reloading kit. I love the Rock Chucker. I have had my kit for about 10yrs now.
I thought about Hornady but the RCBS reputation is what I went with.
I would like to know more about the Hornady Kit.

I started loading on a Lee Loader in 357 mag. I loaded 4 boxes every week. I later went to RCBS. My brother gave me a Lyman Turrent, and I bought a Lee Turrent. I sold the RCBS and sone dies to a beginner. I now load only on Lee Turrent with Lee dies.
No, they aren't as good as RCBS, but they are cheaper and good enough for most loading. I like the quick change feature. I load for: 25 ACP, 32 S&W, 7.63 Nagant, 32 ACP, 32-20, 380 ACP, 9mm, 38 S&W, 38 SPL, 357 MAG, 44 SPL, 44 MAG, 45 Colt, 45 ACP, 223, 25-20, 6.5 Carcano, 6.5x55 Swede, 30-30, 308, 30-06, 43 Spanish, 11.5 Dutch Beaumont and 45-70.
My only complaint is my own fault. Cartridges of the world say reform 348 Winchester cases to 43 Spanish (Lee dies $17.00). Brass for 43 Spanish ie $33.00/20. 348 WIN is $17.00/50. COW was wrong. After breaking the handle on the Lyman press the Lee dies cracked. The 348 bases are too large to swage down. My bad. The dies still work, and they were cheap. Lee would replace them if I sent them back.
