| I'm considering buying a digital powder dispenser, and was wondering what brand has had good results.

Just picked up the Lyman DPS III a few months back. Makes loading rifle cases so easy, just have to let it "warm up" before you use it. If you try to rush the "warm up" period, it'll throw charges of all sorts of weights.
I randomly weight charges on my digital RCBS scale regardless of how well it's reproducing charges of powder for me. I won't let safety be decided by just one piece of electronic equipment.....

| I also have the lyman. It is a little slow but you can use a scoop to speed it up. warm up is important. Last edited on 12 December 2007 10:15 PM by 8mm06

8mm06 I have the Lyman DPS II It was a little slow like you said, but Lyman came out with a $25 upgrade kit that installs in minutes. It dumps powder faster than I can seat the bullet. And with the upgrade kit changing/ cleaning up powder is much easier.

| I purchased the RCBS Chargemaster 1500 and love it. But understand, I am new to reloading so I have nothing to compare it to. I check the first charge against a balance beam scale, and then about every 10th charge. So far, no problems.

Another happy Chargemaster owner here.
It's very accurate & fast enough for my reloading method - seat & crimp (Lee FCD in a 2nd press) the bullet whilst the next load is dispensing.

I have been thinking about getting a electric scale. I use a RCBS 1010 now
The electric should speed up things. I just wondered how accurate/ reliable they were.
