It would be nice to have a website link or a picture, so we can all go out and buy one.

If you google possum kwick case trimmer you'll find the site easy- do however not know, what to think of it.

http://www.possumhollowproducts.com/kwick-case-trimmers.html

i like the fact that they work much like a headspace gauge ie;several calibers can be trimmed with the same trimmer but here's the rub
" The KWICK CASE TRIMMER differs from other trimmers in that it indexes from the datum of the cartridge case shoulder"
sometimes the cartridge it's self gets longer ( not just the neck )for full legnth sized brass it sounds easy for neck sized brass ....i'm not sure ,every once in a while i have to "bump" the shoulder back a bit ,that tells me that the case stretched in body ( as well as possibly the neck )in those cases i assume that it's adjustable ( as mhf stated) i will admit that i like it when things are easy !lolz would love to hear other's reports on it !

After looking at it, bet it would work but, won't for me. I make my 6.5-06 cases out of 270 Win cases and that would be a lot of turning by hand to trim them to length. As for the power trimmer, I'm not sold on power stuff to much; old dog with old ideas!
The difference between this trimmer, the Lee and the lathe type is where they index on. This on the datum line, I think that's what it said. The Lee on the head at the flash hole and the lathe on the base of the case. Seem's to me that's where to only true measurement can come from.

the lee actually doesnt use the flash hole(except to pass thru ) ,like a lathe the shell head fits in the lock ring/shell holder and then the sizer rod uses the base of the head for a stop ( actually it's the lock stud that the shell holder screws onto ) and while lee's system works great if one only shoots factory type ammo that they have the length gauges for without a special order wildcatters are best served by the lathe or at least an adjustable trimmer , i started with a lee but soon graduated to needing something else ,this does look feasible for things like .223 and some other factory rounds ,i for one found the powered lathes to be great ! i used to cut off alot of the extra brass on my 30 herret with a tubing cutter now i just chunk them in the lathe and watch 1/2' of brass get turned into millings lolz (careful not to push too aggressively tho as sometimes it gets a great bite and starts taking off 1/8" strips that wants to rip into the part u wish to save )

I think, I'll stay with my Forster and Wilson trimmers, get a kind of unpleasant feeling in my stomach aria when I look at this crankless tool with a 200+ cases to trim.
Might be a good addition to a set of Wilson hand dies and a small arbour press when one wants to carry reloading equipment to the range.
I personally do trim my bottle-neck cases to the short side, and it never brought me any trouble to do so, only the intervals to necessary trimming are al lot bigger.

I have an RCBS lathe trimmer, but it is catching a lot of dust, my vote goes to the Lee tool, it's much more precise as it doesn't loose it's adjustment.

Any suggestions from the group on dealing with a batch of 100 .30-30 resised to .30 Herrett (.5" lenght reduction) or 100 .375 Win necked down to .357 Herrett (.25" length reduction)?
My manual hand crank is getting a tad old...

this one i know all too well , when i can i opt for the 375 brass( that that barrel gets mad at me when i use brass made for it for another caliber lolz )it's little but older brother is a tad worse that one i've been known to use a tubing cutter and while both of them could be done in a file type trim die with a hacksaw blade i use the lyman or the hornady trimmer, depending upon which trimmer u have ,some u can take the handle off of and use a drill some u have to buy a separate cutter shaft ,i found on the 30 herret if i push real hard it'll come off in chunks instead of shavings sadly it can start to tear the brass if ur not careful, lee can make custom calibers for their system fairly cheap but at the moment they are like all firearm related companies ( full tilt boogie and back ordered lolz)one thing i find that helps is if i pause a couple times and deburr in the process

To smooth out the operation I use a spritz of WD 40 (kerosene would work) as the idea was some sort of cutting oil to speed the cutting and reduce chip loading of the cutter, that helps but its still a pain in the palm...
Been thinkin' that cuz winter is a 9 month deal here in MT that's plenty of time to vacillate on a new toy and/or get all 200 cases done...

I dug up this thread. I need to know some things.
I am thinking about getting the Hornady LNL case prep center. I have read the information on the tool but I just can't find the information I need.
In the ads, it states that the machine will use only Hornady shell holders. I have a couple of Hornady shell holders that work fine in my RCBS press. They also work fine in my little Lee press. Does it in fact use only Hornady shell holders?
Also, can I interchange the RCBS "tools" that I use in my RCBS case prep tool with the Hornady?
TIA!
