Came with my Lee Classic Turret Press. It's a small black plastic hollow square, about 3/8" on a side. It was packed with the primer arms in a plastic bag. The hollow center looks like it might fit over the indexing rod. Any help is appreciated, thanks. Last edited on Wed Oct 14th, 2009 04:44 PM by Bungalow_Bill

Ah ha! That's the clue I needed! I removed the auto index clamp and voilà, there's the little square ratchet inside. Thanks much! Last edited on Wed Oct 14th, 2009 08:59 PM by Bungalow_Bill

Another Question..... Is the ratchet a replacement or an extra? Do I need to replace the existing with this one?

My Lee Turret Press still has two spares wire-tied to it by the factory.
They oughta last awhile - I don't use the indexer......

if using the auto index and it quits working as it should then yes u should try changing it ( easy enough to do ) ummm if it's working well that old adage applies "if it aint broke ..." usually lee includes one or two of the wearable parts with presses,if the auto indexer is on the press and u never took it off and there is another in the box ( or parts bag) that would be the spare ,i havent used the newer turret press as i am quite set up for the 3 holers but i would love to know if the new 4 holer can be retro fitted to the three holer ( most my rifle rounds have no need of 4 holes ...)

I never could get my turret to index properly, no matter how many of those replacements I tried! I ended up just turning it by hand. Finally replaced it with a Claasic Cast press.
