Guys

I agree with TG. I don't mind going with a 6.5 but I would like to be able to load med heavy to heavy bullets for deer, hog, elk, and some paper.  I know that last one is a dangerous animal sine once you shoot a good one you always  go back for a better piece of paper, but i'll take that chance.  So I'm not sure if this helps or just muddies the water more but it's my pennys worth.

    Take care Be safe Poacher

Guys, what do you think of using a .270 Win case as the base for this round? Being it is longer than the '06 variant, will yield more case capacity.

How about a .300 Weatherby Mag necked down to a .224 on a mauser frame with a target barrel should be able to get some UHFS with a coated tungsten bullet.

Figuring out the loads may be a bit time consuming.
