Ok I think I am a little loser to scratching an itch

Building a 257 STW

I have a model 700 7mm mag that does not get used other than as a Backup due to my new short mag 270 so I have something good to start with now what kind of barrel to I get and where do I go to order it?  What about twist?  I will mostly shoot 90-100 gr but would like to be able to shoot 115-120 should I desire the heavier does not have to be as tight as the lighter but none the less I dont want a 6 inch group.

I have a 257 stw. It has a lilja barrel with a 1in 10 twist. It is built on a win model 70 action. with a timmeny trigger leupold scope and a hs precision stock.  i shoot 100 grain ballistic tips and 110 grain accubonds. both loads will put 3 through a dime at 100 yards. hope this helps. Do you have a gunsmith or are you doing this yourself?

I dont really know any personally but there are some good ones in the area.  I would actually like to be able to get the barrel already turned and not worry about renting the die.

This is all really in the early stages I am still considering  a 257wsm as I have a 270wsm with less sentimental value than the 7mag
