| Anyone hear have any experience with a rock river or panther arms 308. I am looking to get one set up for a medium range weapon, out to about 5 or 6 hundred yards. Has anyone had any trigger time wtih these or another good suggestion to fill my needs. I want it to be very accurate for hunting and target shooting. Thanks in advance for any help guys. Pat

I shot a tricked out AR-10 a long while back.I was beyond impressed..You will be well equipped at 500-600 yard ranges.. Rock River builds some excellent rifles.DPMS,I have no complaints with either

| Thanks i have shot a couple of dpms in 223 and they are very good guns. Can you reccomend a good barrel lenght for the semi auto 308 out to thsoe ranges?

Had the Armalite version. Ended up getting rid of it due to the amount of bolt guns in the same caliber that shot equally well. Should I ever get another one it would be the Armalite....but probably in the .243Win chambering.
They are well built and very effective if you really have the 'need' for one.

barrel length..l am a firm believer in a 20 inch barrel for a 308 Win

| Thanks for the inpu guys. I have a 24 inch barreled dpms on its way. Those things are pretty scarce around here. It should be here next wednesday. Hopefully i will get it thursday or friday of next week and get a scope and get to start shooting it and get ready for antelope season. Thanks for all of your input and suggestions. I got to shoot a Stoner this afternoon, amazing rifle! A Sweet 16 in 308.
