I have been toying with a few ideas for rebarrels on some 700s that I already own.  One thought is to rebarrel my 7mag with a ultra mag but the base of the shell is .002 larger will my bolt face work for this?  typicall how much tolerance does one have?

you will find that much variation in different brass.i am sure it will work.why not just have it rechambered?

I have found some descent deals on new take off barrels plus I want a 300 and my 7 mag only has a 24" barrel
