I was just wonder if any one has some knowledge of BP cleaners, as well as for the "substitute" powders?
Currently I am using some T/C patches that are presoaked and a lot of elbow grease. Some time I use carburetor cleaner when the stuff is caked on.
Any advise would be welcome.

Equal parts hydrogen peroxide, denatured alcohol, and Murphy's oil soap. Works a treat.

DK,
Thanks for the recipe, I don't even have to go to the store to get that stuff.
Again thanks,

I Use T/C number 13 solvent at the range. At home I use hot water, Dawn dish detergent and scrub away.

You mean the old Army thing of using "hot soapy water", I have done that to my cap and ball revolver.

DK,
Your home brewed BP solvent/cleaner works extremely well. Many thanks for the information.
