YIKES! I am NOT coming over! Good night, sir, you do like your reptiles BIG.

I actually lost a cat and a dog in two days, down to 4 cats and one puppy, (****er Spaniel), NO reptiles, birds, exotics, illegal aliens, etc.  Edit to add - the foul language filter won't let me post my dog's breed? Wow.

The one on the left passed away from cancer Tuesday.

This little girl, with my Mosin, left us on Wednesday.

My wifes' kitty.

Our girls.

Our last kitten, Mikhail, with his girl, Star. Yes, he was named for Mikhail Kalishnikov!

Wyo, I didnt realize that lizard was that big. How do you make him get in his cage? Do you use a big stick? I would never have something like that in or around my house. But if you like em you can have them. Just not a reptile fan i guess. I guess i will stick to blue heelers.

BBP, I just yell his name and tell him to get back in his cage.  Really, I pick him up and put him in. He's mellow as a puppy. I've had him since he was a month old. He's never bit me or anybody. He likes people. I took some new pics yesterday I'll try to post. I don't want to take over this thread though.  Good to have you back !

Pat, I'm sending you a Komodo Dragon ! FRM, which one ? The python can eat a large rabbit no problem. Pat, I'll send you a pic of a rattler I've had since a new born in 1995. Caught him near Flaggstaff, Az. while archery elk hunting. He's as tame as can be. He will eat rats out of my hand , hold him etc. Never known anything but me since he was born. I know f'ing weird dude.

What will you do if the rattler bites you by accident?

Youve sent me pictures of your rattler. I just am not a snake fan. I wonder what my taxidermist would say if i brought him a komodo Dragon and asked for a full mount in a glass case:confused:

Patrick, that is funny because I was talking to a friend yesterday and told him when he dies I'm going to have him mounted life size. Not the python. It's boots for all my friends with him ! Actually be thinking of donating it to the San Diego Zoo. A friend's mom works there.

Sorry Force, I missed your post ! I've been bitten before, not by the one I have. I've caught rattlers since I was in the 6th grade (if my parents would have known :shameon: ) THey knew from about 16 yrs. old though. I've caught well over 100 since. One day last year, I'm 49 now, I was working in my garage moving stuff. I reached down in the corner of the garage by the lawn mower to p/u a box and behind it was a foot and a half rattler I didn't see. It nailed me on my thumb. It only got one fang in and the other hit my thumbnail. He bit down hard though and I knew it, injecting max amount of venom. They can pretty much control their venom by biting pressure depending on how threatened they feel. I was about ready to leave for an Alan Jackson concert with center orchestra seats too ! Seen him here 5 times. Pissed those tickets away ! Anyway my girlfriend works at the hospital too and While driving to it I had her call her buddies in ER to find out if they had anti venom. They did and it's only 4 mi. from my house. The doc said 9 viles to start with in the IV. Spent the night in CCU. Got 9 viles 6 times. Found out the viles went up recently from $750.00 to $1200.00 a vile... $1200.00 x 54 . you do the math. The total bill was $72,000.00 something. Insurance paid all but $900.00. I hadn't met my deductible. If I was an illegal it would have been free ! Lots of fun. All those years and something stupid like that. My friend found on on his front porch Sat. His one kid is about 5 yrs.... He lives in the boonies and gets them all the time. His one dumb ass dog has got bit in the face twice trying to kill/grab them. $900.00 vet bill the first time. Second time he said he can just die. He got over it. Must be imune now ! Sorry for the length of post
