| Will get my new pistol next week. Sent my Contender frame to Bullberry Barrel Work's. Custom wood, 16.75 inch barrel, muzzle break, in 30/30 cal. What is your suggestion for bullet's? Where to start with recipe for handload's. Does anyone else shoot the 30/30 pistol? Thank you, Jeff

| 36.4 win 748 behind a 150 sierra flat point w/ cci mag primers is a solid, load that will get you ballpark for accuracy and velocity. i don't know where that powder charge is on the min-max scale, but i would say it is warm, not hot or excessive.

I use spire point bullets in my Contender Super 14 30/30, no tubular magazine to worry about. I have been shooting 30/30 Contender for over 20 years now, great combination for a hunting handgun.
Hornady 130 gr bullet with 39 grains of W748 behind it, great for 'Yote hunting. Got many G'Hog with this load also.
