Does anyone have load data for the 454 Casull utilizing the Hornady 250gr XTP over H110? I can find all kinds of loads for the 240gr but the XTP is a "powder picky" bullet and I want to get it right.

H110 and W-296 (of current manufacture)are the exact same powder made at the same time on the same machine, just poured into different bottles with different labels.

As with all data start at the bottom and work your way up slow. This powder has wicked power curve if you exceed the limits (dont go below minimums or you risk detonation )

250 Grain Hornady XTP/JHP .452 dia.
    W-296      27.5 gr.    1,725 fps Start
    W-296      28.5 gr.    1,785 Max

this data comes froma site call" m.d.smiths reloading page" ,use with caution

Ahhhh ya know I knew that  or at least heard that 296/h110 were the same powder. Thanks woodsman! What about the "use caution" at the end have you had any issue"s or is that just a general caution?

its a general caution as with any data that you haven't work loads up for your particular weapon and set of components ,

i did find the  wrist snap from the 240 gr bullets pretty sharp and when i moved up to the 300gr bullets it tamed it quite a bit
