The Savage Striker is chambered for 22lr, 22WMR, and 17HMR. If you are asking about their bolt action pistol it is chambered in 308, 243, 7mm-08, and 300WSM.

Howdy,

I've got the 7mm08 in the Striker and it has performed beyond expectation for me.
Last year I took a doe at 195-200yds. and the only shot I had available to me was her neck. She had gone over the crest of a knoll and she had a entourage behind her, which I thought contained a buck. After seeing them all fall out single file, and seeing nothing following as large as she was, I decided to take her instead.

When I looked back for her, she had passed over the hill, and all I could see was her head & neck from her backline up.
Resting the gun on an adjacent anthill, providing a nice steady rest, I took the shot at mid neck level. The bullet struck her dead center where I aimed and she piled up right there. Never kicked.
I pace approx. 1 yd. per step, and after pacing the distance off, it came out to 197 paces.

I use bullets that some would deem too light for rifle use (Nosler 120gr. BT's). But out of the Striker, they perform on par with what a 140gr. would do out of a rifle.

Very happy with the Striker and another added to my collection of Encore's & Contender's wouldn't hurt one bit...............maybe a .308, or an older vintage .22-250.

Bob
