This one of my hunting pistols . It is chambered for the 7mm-08 and has a Leupold 2x8 pistol scope. I use the Speers 110 gr TNT Moly coated with Varget for deer. At the reduced vel of the 15 inch barrel this bullet opens just like a big game bullet in the rifle.  I like the encore handguns,  the last deer taken with this pistol was 175 yards and dropped in her tracks. Does anyone else use the encore handgun?:thumbs:

I really like the T/C Encore Pistols. I'm thinking about getting one in .45-70 to complement my Magnum Research BFR Revolver in the same caliber. The BFR shoots exceptionally well. Right now i've got this "Mauser thing" going, so it's taking up my time. If I do wind up springing for an Encore, I'll get a barrel in .500 S&W also. Are they avaliable in Stainless and Walnut???  billt

i have a blued one in 223 with a 2-6 on it with a 15in.

i love the thing! my next barrel is actually gonna be a 7-08. hows the recoil? any favorite loads?

The recoil is nothing but the muzzle blast is hard on the ears. I also had the 15 inch barrel in 22-250 and it was very loud  , so guess it goes with the shorter barrel and rifle rounds. The load i am using is the Speer 110 gr TNT Moly HP with Varget. This load is very accurate. I am get ready to change to H4350 and the 139 Hornady SP or 140 Nosler BT . I believe the 7mm-08 is the best round in the 15 inch Encore for big game hunting.:thumbs:
