Another DW 10mm. Commander length slide, full size frame, bobtailed grip. Came with XS nites, IIRC. Softest shooting 10mm I own.

Would make a phenominal carry piece for a big framed dude with stopping power needs. Extremely comfortable to shoot, thanks to the Ed Brown bobtail.

Think all glocks are alike?

Think you've seen 'em all?

Ever see a 6" longslide 10mm with Bo-Mars? KKM barrel?

Now you have.... (Pardon my pics, she's grumpy, and doesn't want her picture taken.)

Another 10mm?

Sure, why not, I like 'em.

Smith 1076. Lacks the features and finesse of a 1911 or custom piece. But fragile it ain't. Besides, single stack non 1911 guns are hard to find these days.

My camera batteries are dying. Anyone else gonna post a pic? I'd love to see some hardware....

I messed up already, I posted the same pic of my razorback twice.  (I couldn't edit my post, it's been over an hour.)

My apologies. Here's the pic that was going under the 2nd pic.

I really wish I could capture the *shine* of the razor. TLC went into that gun, inside and out. It's dirty and greasy, and it still shines. The pics just don't do it justice. It has a clark style target rib machined into the top of the slide (That's where it got it's name.), and came with a nowlin match barrel, metalform mags, 20 pound springs, wilson buffer,  and mostly chip mc cormick parts. I got some pretty decent groups with her! This gun was part of the full custom run at the beginning of production. I specified front cocking serrations and bo-mars. I liked everything else I saw in the pics at 1911forum. She's a beauty! I patiently waited over 6 months for her to be built.

My primary carry gun, a plain old Para P12, in a draggedy assed Don Hume. The holste is ugly, but works. Won't replace it soon.

Mrs. Charley's sometimes carry gun and always house gun. Makarov in 9x18, with Noval sights. The Novaks are a world of difference from the issue sights.

Nice SIG. I really gotta get a MAK, too.  If Stephen A. Camp sez they're a good gun, then they're a good gun.

Got any more pics of that PARA?

Really ergonomic for a ruger, it's a single stack .45, and in a pinch I'm sure it would at least feed the top round into a .45 caliber 1911. I really can't get over how comfortable and intuitive the grip feels. MUCH better than the old ruger autos.

I gotta adjust the sights one of these days, shoots way high.

Speaking of single stack .45s, here's a sleeper.

A STAR PD. Compact. Alloy frame. If Kimber made it, the retail price would be over $1000, since it was made in spain, isn't a true 1911, are only available used, and the company went tango uniform, you can pick up great examples for less than $300.

Remember, I only keep shooters, so if it looks this bad, it's just GOTTA shoot great.

This little gun don't look like much, but I have never lost a game of PIG played at the range. Not while shooting this gun and my homegrown ammo. I would match this gun against any small alloy frame .45 under $600 (More than twice what I paid for it.). It's that good. Really.

Hey Caz

as you already got a pic of the PD there, im not going to bother with putting mine up also. Must say, the bluing on the frame of yours looks much better than mine.

Mine has seen a lot of wear, and almost looks like a two tone gun now, almost all the blueing being worn off on the frame.

I really love this little .45, and your right, it might not look like it, but its a real tight shooter!!

just got hold of four original PD mags in the classifieds of a local magazine, was really luckey.

All the best

Mine was photogenic. She really doesn't look that good. The frame and slide is tutoned badly, and parts of the gun are even purple. Anodizing on frame is detaching and flaking off. The slide looks as if it only had 20-30% of it's original bluing left, was cold reblued, and most of THAT wore off. The light hit it just right and it isn't obvious. She's got the wrong screw in the rear sight to adjust the POA down, and just generally isn't ready for prime time. It has internal erosion from where the bullets nosedive on the frame and hollowpoints took big chunks out of the soft, untempered, uncoated aluminum alloy (Maybe it's even just raw aluminum.). My PD looks NOTHING like the pics of my PD. But a gun that shoots this good deserves to be in circulation. I prolly took 50 pics, and kept the best two. Please, please post your PDs pics, I don't want this to be just me posting parts of my collection.
PDs rock!!!!!!

I have been looking for reasonably priced factory mags for a while, everybody wants $40 for theirs. I'm not sure I trust the 8 round aftermarket ones that are made for the smith single stacks, either.

Yeah, Steve Camp's "A case FOR The Defensive Makarov" on Gunboards is a very well thought out treatise. I've had a few, shot a bunch more. They work, pure and simple. Can't remember ever having a FTF or FTE. As I said, the Novak sights (designed for the late, lamented Colt Mustang ) fit and work very well on the Mak. Definatly a modification I would recommend. After I istalled them, Mrs. Charley's CHL qualifying score jumped thirty points.

I'll get some nekkid pictures of the Para Ordnance up soon.

OK, too much talk, and not enough pics....

Another best in class .45 would be the CZ97b.

Pardon my pics, the glossy finish is about impossible to photograph.

What makes this gun look so goofy in pics are the two reasons I bought it. The glossy blue finish. I mean glossy. I won't holster this gun out of fear of scratching it. Also, the fact it has a full length dust cover. This changes handling a LOT more that you'd think. The more weight you put UNDER the barrel and in FRONT of the trigger guard balances out the ammo in the grip. (That's the reason that titanium guide rods are available for glocks, and glock shooters in the stock classes like to try sneaking titanium guide rods in their guns, giving them an advantage.) A superb shooter. One hole groups at 25 yards, this gun isn't your average garden variety CZ75b. It's build to a much higher standard, and has a real live adjustable nose bushing and fit and finish rivaling $1000 guns.
I know it's legality was being challenged at IDPA, and possibly IPSC (It's still legal, last I heard.), the gun's handling is so good to the point of almost being unfair. There was a big stink locally about them being in the wrong class, but I disagree. Just because they have a full length dust cover doesn't mean they belong in the 'pro' type classes. Come on, they come STOCK this way, just like the silver and gold cup witnesses, and various comp type guns. If you get a chance to shoot one DON'T turn it down.
If you have big hands THIS is the .45 for you. Much cheaper than the widebody 2011s or the custom type double wide 1911 mags and bodies.
The only other REAL gun in it's class under $1000 is the H&K USP fullsize.
