I recently picked up a Dan Wesson bobtail commander in 10mm. I can say that I love this gun.   I am seriously considering using it as my CCW instead of my Kahr k-40.

The recoil is a bit stiff, but no worse (to me) than one of those airweight 357s. Not to mention that its far more accurate.

What load? I'd be kind of concerned about over penetration.

For a carry load I only go factory due to potential liability issues.

Probably 165 gr Cor-Bon, or 180 gr Double-tap.

I have the Colt Delta Elite and it throws the brass hard and fast.

I am using a Hornady bullet 200 gr XTP with Blue Dot 8.9 gr which is max. It is actually a legal big game caliber in Minnesota.

My main concern would be recoil recovery for follow-up shots.

I agree, would be my concern.  I'll stick with .45 ACP for defense purposes.
