I like plinking away with the .32 pistols.  I currently have a very cheap .32 that I will be selling and would like to replace it with a better quality gun.  Of course I feel like there is no where but up after this gun.  Money is an object so nothing over 350 if possible.  Does not have to be new, but it does have to be a .32acp since I have the setup for the caliber.   Any experiences with a certain brand or model?  Thanks

All the gun writers think the Seecamp is the only 32 of merit. I like the Walther PP. There is a pretty good Bersa and NAA has one of the lightest and smallest.

With Winchester Silvertips some people think they are even adequate for self defence.

I don't know myself, there is a story in my family about when the family and neighbors were killing hogs in the fall. My great uncle was a WW1 vet and brought home a Star pistol in 32ACP and they were using this to shoot the hogs in the head.

One particular hog absorbed 3 FMJs between the eyes with little apparent effect. The uncle was so mad he threw the Star as far as he could.

The butcher in town used a Browning semiauto chambered in 22 short for the same purpose with 100% effect.

Mrs. Charley carries a Kel Tec P-32 daily. Good quality, reliable, small and light. If you are looking for a plinker/shooter rather than a small carry gun, I'd suggest one of the Czech CZ-50 or CZ-70. Both are still relatively cheap, and show up often at gunshows. My CZ-50 had a much better trigger than the CZ-70, but both are reliable, resonably accurate all steel guns all steel guns.

Thanks for mentioning the surplus guns that is about the money I want to spend on a plinker.  Really doubt I would actually carry a .32 for self defense.  Not much power there.  shat a two liter bottle full of water with a fmj 71grain bullet.  found it in the bottom of the bottle was able to reload the bullet and shoot it again it was in such great shape.
