What are you guys using for B'eye and the .45ACP.
I like to use my RCBS fixed-charge measure ("Little Dandy") and it seems to jump from 4.2 to 4.9 with B'eye. 4.2 is economical but seems a little anemic. I've used up to 5.9 without any pressure problems and excellent accuracy, but it does seem a little sharp. Both 5.9 and 4.2 are putting them into 1" handheld at 15Y so no complaints on that score.
Wonder Recipes gratefully received!
(BTW, good functioning with 4.2 with Kimber CDP, Gold Cup, and SA Factory Comp.)

I used 4.5 grains of Bullseye for many years with a 230 gr LRN.

Thanks, Jerry. I was thinking that somewhere about 4.5 would be a good compromise. I may have to go to a slide-measure to get that however.
BTW, I'm using 200gr LSWCs.

Some of the bullseye shooters I know go as low as 3.5 grains of Bullseye behind a 200 or 230 grain bullet. Of course you have to go to a lighter spring.
I personally like 4.5 grains.

| Unique has been my standard .45 ACP (and .45 Colt) powder since I started loading for it. It worked so well I never saw the need to change. Some will bitch about the couple of granules of unburned powdewr on your hands after firing, bu it's never bothered me.

But a burnt powder smell, attracts the ladies out there.
When powders burning rates change I adjust the loads.

I use 5.5-5.6 gr of bullseye in my acp and have wonderful results ..... Hodgdons clays also works very well for me .... I always have loads of clays around for my trap gun so when I run out of bullseye its not a problem , plus I just like to change things up once inna while

I' m using 5 gr with 185's and they are within 1 1/4 " at 17 yds. I'm shooting a SS loaded Champ. I've had good results with Clays, and Unique. Going to load up some 230's next.

I've used 5gr Bullseye under a 200 gr Lazer Cast RNFP for a real long time, kind of a standard load. I bought 15lbs from a guy for $120.00 four years ago, so I got a lot of it to burn.

Rotor Charge Table in current Midway catalog shows rotor 08 will throw 4.5 gr Bullseye. Rotors 7 & 9 should dispense 4.0 and 5.0, respectively.
My rotors do not always dispense the exact amount claimed by RCBS.
Rotor cavities can be modified by adding two part epoxy (to decrease volume) or by drilling out an undersize rotor.
Rotors ain't cheap. My attempts to reproduce them for pet loads in wooden doweling have not been successful

there is a fellow on Ammo Brass Trader that claims that he will make them to what ever volume you want. Ive had similar problems with mine, not dropping the weight the chart says it will.
