Just clean them with the same stuff your using on the blued guns.  It's what I do.  And yes, I have a few that are shiny!  Also have a few with the case hardened look.  Even have some covered with Krylon spray paint(don't ask).

Everything gets a wiping down with BreakFree cleaning solvent(not the spray paint), and any excess is removed(but not left dry).

 

 

Most everyone here has a favorite cleaning solvent....these will differ some from user to user, but the outcome is normally the same.  Preventing metal from rust/pitting.

Yes i know everbody use different cleaners/oil, been cleaning guns for 51 yrs. was just asking what was the best for nickel  guns, was told by some folks to stay away from hoppers #9. still use #9 in the bore and inside of the chambers. no 9 on the nickel itself. this is a 3rd, gen saa colt NEW so i am trying to take care of it since i am the one that paid for it. end of story
