Anyone ever own or shoot a Llama Comanche III .357 revolver? I'd be interested in a general opinion of it. RD

Second and third hand information, for what it is worth. Quality control seems to be spotty at best. There seem to be some that are very satisfied with theirs, and some that really, really don't like them.

Have to agree with Charley - 2nd hand information over the years has steared me clear of them.

I did own a Llama .380 once, a long time ago. Didn't own it long, as I wasn't happy with its reliability - seemed rather roughly put together.

Maybe things have changed since then. I see them at gunshows almost every time I go, but I won't lay the money down for another of their autoloaders. Once bitten, twice shy.

I have no personal experience with Llama revolvers. But based on the experience I have had with other makers I would personally steer clear of Spanish revolvers in general. But that's just me and YMMV.

Theone llama i have been around is not really great.  It was a 45 acp 5 inch semi auto. It is ok but it bites my hand and gives me a blister if i shoot more than a few rounds through it.  And jamming is a pretty common accourance.  So with that and word of mouth on their products i will shy away from them.  Just my thought s Pat

I guess the comment about quality control above might be spot on. The only Llama I've ever owned was a 45 acp 5 inch barrel. I kept that handgun for over twenty years. I just sold it to a buddy last year who needed a HD handgun. My experience with that gun was nothing but good. As I said I held on to it for over twenty years. It was hands down the most accurate out of the box 1911 style gun I ever owned. And it operated flawlessly throughout the whole time I owned it. My buddy emailed about 2 or 3 months ago to tell me he shot a hog with it at close range. So I guess the one I had was the one in a million, I mean I never would have thought it would be that good. I was just wanting something I could use without regard to banging it up and I ended up keeping it all those years.

Probably should have held on to it......I sold it to him for like $200.
