evening ohiococonut  >>  found a couple auctions richard was putting on over at gunbroker.com so i got some 700's coming my way.  richard said he was going to send some other .500 stuff down that he wants tried in the taurus as he's never had anyone report back to him how his bullets do in that revolver.  should be fun.

700's at 1000+ fps don't sound to objectionable.  did you get up to and match his claims of 1200 fps with that bullet?

anyway, thanks much for the 700 offer.  aweful nice of ya.  will compare notes when i get something developed.  >>  klallen

I don't know if I reached those speeds or not without looking over my reloading data. I keep it all on a spreadsheets and right now I'm up to 3 pages just for the 500. But, I don't doubt Ricks data, he loads just like you and I and doesn't inflate it like the big guys. You can trust him and he really is a nice guy to deal with. He also sent me some freebies to try out

evening o c  >>  got richards bullets the other day.  just did a quick eye-ball test but i think these 700's will chamber pretty easily in a taurus cylinder.  will get to some development later this spring.  one of his max loads of 1340fps with that bullet sounds absolutely brutal.  looking at the examples he sent of his full line of .500 bullet, i like them all but the 400gr. spire points and the 535gr. keith's look especially interesting.

i'm considering booking a bison hunt next spring and seeing what these 700's can do on a large bodied animal.  just talk now.  gotta get some $$$ saved up before i worry about booking.

anyway, 700's are hear and the do look mean.  later.  >>  klallen

Hey Coconut I was beginning to think I was the only one on the planet that had one of the PC Smith 500s with the blued finish. Refreshing! That's what I'm shooting in my Avatar
