I have been looking for a used beater 45acp too take for a walk sometimes while i'm out and about. I found a perfectly good used decent looking Chinese Norinco 1911A1 45acp today that was priced so someone would buy it,($299) i did. I think i did ok. It rattles so its ok thats the first thing i check if a 1911 rattles good it just have to have that certain sound. The barrel bushing is tight and the barrel is numbered to the gun and it has good rifling and plenty of life left in it. It fits in my collection of chinese norinco really well too. Its one more off my want list. Everything thats used too a big jump in prices the last time i looked like nothing is really affordable(cheap) I'm very frugal most of the time. I have been a good boy lately and trying to save my extra $$ but its hard to find good deals lately. Outside of being shot and not cleaned it looks great the bluing is 100% it has night sites too. Does anyone have a Chinese Norinco 1911A1???

BigBill, I used to see them in the shops back in the early '90s at pretty reasonable prices, but never bought one. (My wish was for an original Colt 1911-A1 of earlier vintage. Still don't have one.) Over the years I've read some good things about the Norincos, so hopefully your's will be a good performer in the field and on the range.
Be sure and let us know how she shoots when you get some rounds through her.

My very firstt handgun was a Norinco 1911, and i still have it. I dont even know how many shots ive run trough it over the years, (i got it when i was 16 yrs old) but its going smoothly..
its the first handgun i got and it will probably be the last thing ill ever sell if i need to.
All the best

You guys are right so far its the best 1911a1/45acp i have ever owned. My only problem is I want to get another one in the future. I'm looking for another affordable one. I'm hoping with the ban lifted on the chinese last September we may see new ones imported soon here i hope. I may wait for a new one i'm in no hurry. A lot of people knock the Chinese 1911a1 copy but i have to say its tops in my book.

My son bought 2 Rock Island Armory (made in Phillipines). Pretty good guns for right at 250.00.
Llama made some real nice 45's (almost completely milspec) for 199.00 dealer cost. My son bought one and shot 1000s of rounds thru it. He sold it back to me and I sold it this month for 275.00.

I had a Norinco 1911, traded it, along with a WWII Ithaca for a Kimber. The Norinco was a great handgun for the price. Lots of IDPA and IPSC guys here used them as building platforms for competition guns.

MickyRat; I went looking for a S.A.M. or a Charles Daly or a Rock Iland Armory but no one had them locally. I did find two 1911a1's that caught my eye at the time an Auto Ordnance Army WW2 copy for $389 and a springfield armory WW2 copy for $419. Both look awesome but i like the Auto Ordnance.

Stay looking there still around i see them on the net too on gunsamerica too.
I have a new Auto-Ordnance Army WW2 copy 1911a1 45acp and we just hammered over 250rds+ thru it with no problems its as good as my norinco is too for the affordable price tag of $389. Its manufactured from 4140 steel and made in MASS. too.
I did buy the Springfield Armory WW2 G.I. copy too but i haven't shot it yet.
