I have a number of carry handguns but the one i carry the most is my Springfield 45 ACP with Novack Adj night sights . The load i carry the most is the Hornady XTP +P 230 gr. I use nothing but Wison Clips with this pistol.

I use my old familiar friend, one that you too should be familiar with bea - Beretta 92 FS 9mm Parabellum.  It's a pretty good combat pistol but it is pretty bulky for concealed carry.  I use the 20 round clips and whatever ammo I have on hand.  Never had any problems with it as far as function goes and I've been shooting it for over 10 years.

I have had a dozen Beretta 92 in the last few years but sold them. I have the Springfield Sub-Compact XD in 9mm and carry this pistol in the summer when i can't wear a coat . The Beretta is a good pistol and the last one i had was the SS 96 in 40 S&W and my hunting buddy wanted it and i let him have it. You are well armed.

I carry a Sig P245 45 ACP loaded with 230 gr Golden Sabers loaded to 950 fps.  This handgun is quite compact will still offering good barrel length and shootability and control for rapid shooting.  Only drawback is the 6 shot clip but I have two extras on the belt so not much of a concern.

As a whole, I much prefer Maerican made pistols but will admit I am quite fond of the Sig handguns.

Good Shooting!!

Thanks beal75. I really like the BH's. They fit my hand and shoot well enough. I different than most as I like the NM's better than the OM.

Anyone own a Kimber? I hear they are great pistols, especially in the smaller carry models. A buddy of mine carried a Kimber in .45, he always had it on him and you could never tell at all. Very slip profile and modest length. Just wondering if anyone had one.

I had the compact Kimber Pro Carry from the custom shop with night sights and my brother liked it, so i gave it to him. I carried it for over a year and it shot the 185 Win ST very well. This pistol never malfunction with any load that i run down the tube. I use nothing but Wilson Clips in my 45 Acp. I carry the Springfield full size 45 now, which is pictured in the first post and this pistol has the night sights and likes the 230 Hornady XTP.

I work in jogging shorts (string waist) and tee shirt mostly. I have 2 Kel-Tec's the 32 and the 380. Both with a belt clip. It fits close on the hip even with light clothing and doesn't print. When wearing a belt I go with a Taurus Milenium PT-145 with Aguila IQ ammo (will penetrate 3/4 balistic glass and still expand). Medium carry is Kel-Tec 9mm. Winter carry is 4" 629 in 44 MAG.

I've carried daily since 1979, and carry is the operative word. Practice is required with any carry piece. Over the years I've carried Iver Johnson TP-22 (Walther TPH copy) in a billfold holster with a Charter Arms Stainless 38 in an ankle holster. My job put me in a lot of rough places. Never had to pull one, but always knew they were there. The TP-22 was a DA/SA 22 auto with good safeties, and the CA was a revolver. I teflon coated the TP-22 and the CA was my first stainless.

I graduated to a Grendel P-10 in 380 as my first stainless/plastic. It held 10+1 in a non-removable magazine and used a M-16 stripper clip and a guide for a speed loaded. It was light, fairly large caliber and high capacity. I was in love. It just dropped in the back pocket of my jeans. I never liked the P-12 with the removable 12 round clip (my brother carried one). Next came the Kel-Tec 9mm. Same reasons and it was just a scochie bit larger than the 380 and was 10+1. Next was a Cobra Patriot 45 6+1 DA only SS (used 1911 mags). Then the Taurus PT-145. Who can resist a SS/plastic DA only 10+1 45? All that and a safety, too. Does it get any better?

Roust me out of bed and I'll have a 4" 629 44 MAG or a 1911A1, both make me all warm and fuzzy feeling.

I hate that 2beard , everyone has the right to protect himself and his family. If some of the hunters killed by the VC last hunting season in your state, had been packing they all may not have died. A persons right of self defense shouldn't stop at the state line. The second amendment was written for everyone in the  US , that is here legally.
