My choices in pistols run to Glocks, 1911 types, Radom, Cz52, Browning HP, Astra, and even an Ortgies (Dreyse).
I have nothing against an XD, just never saw the need (yeah, I know) for one..
As you all know, choices in firearms are like choices in women (for you lady shooters, - men) and cars..
Concerning the safety gripe about Glocks, any firearm will be a hazard if handled sloppily!
Sometime back on another forum, a former LEO was bitching about cops, and others, shooting themselves when holstering their Glock. First step in handling any gun is - Put your brain in gear!! I know this is preaching to the choir, but it bears repeating..
Good shooting - whatever it is...
