I asked my Congressman where in the U.S. Constitution does the constitution give congress the right to mandate health care.
I got a B.S. reply that didn't adress the question, so I sent a reply that apparently it isn't in the constitution and thus congress has no authroity to enact a health care bill.
So they will just add another page to the intelligence report they have been keeping on me.
Does anyone know where the constitution gives congress the authority to enact health care?
I think congress should be paying attention to other things, such as energy, there is a glut of coal, natural gas and gasoline in the states, but prices haven't come down for the comsumers. Plus one of the local Murray Energy coal mine is laying off workers, the owner Bob Murray said that this is a problem that Obama has created. This is affecting the economy where I live.
Maybe we should call for the ouster of the President and say congress is next.

Then they would have to quit doing things to protect the general welfare, because they are doing more damage to the country than good.

You know it, I know it, and a whole bunch of middle America knows it. They (congress) know it, too, but ignore it for their own purposes

We need what other democracies have in their governments, a Vote Of Support.
That would sure make many politicians do their jobs.

The thing is we are NOT a democracy, or at least we didn't start out that way! We are a Constitutional Republic! We have no provisions in our government for such a vote, it should have never been necessary! however as we currently are hurdling towards the socialist precipice! without a leadership that turns us back to our constitutional roots, It will be necessary for the watering of the tree of liberty! If you don't own a battle rifle(AR-15,M1-A1,MINI-14,ETC)Then sell your cloak and buy you one!!

The country is a democratic republic, if we take the constitutional concept of "for the Common Good" and allow the people to determine what is good for them outside of the common defense and regulation of interstate commerce that are outlined in the constitution, politicians would be in a world of hurt Many of these sweeping issues should be voted on and ratified by the states, not by congress.
To define a democratic republic, our country is a republic, but our form of government is a democracy. We could still have a republic without our current form of government.
Be it as it maybe.... WE the People own this country, so We the People should make or break policies and laws for our common good.
The next thing they will go after is freedom of speech, public assembles and the right to own firearms, ooops, they are already do that.
