This seems like an odd question to discuss on this board, but what kind of reaction did your spouse, daughter, or other female relative have to the government panel's (The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force) guidlines on mammograms and self breast examinations?
Mrs. Charley wanted to climb into the TV and kick the crap out of somebody!
New guidelines call for no routine mammograms before 50, claims self exams don't reduce the death rate from breast cancer, and says yearly screening isn't needed, that 2 year intervals are close enough.
The American Cancer Society, MD Anderson Cancer Center, Baylor College of Medicine, and a whole bunch of other claim the new guidleines are so much horse s**t.
I tend to believe it is the Fed's intent to sell the idea of rationed health care, reality be damned.

I'll bet that the congressional plan makes damn sure that Nancy Pelosi gets her mammogram annually. RD
BTW, Has anybody seen the new plan laid out side by side with the congressional plan? Bet you won't either.

Has anyone but me noticed a pattern here? The government health care plans will refuse care if you're too old and erminal anyway. Why give you maybe another few month or years of life as it would be a waste of money?
Note that us old geezers are either last in line for thw H1N1 flu shots as supposedly our immune systems are better able to handle the disease. What utter bull shit!
I think that Obama and the democrats want us old timers dead and gone. We, who have had a decent eduation and have a reasonably sound knowledge of civic and how the government is supposed to be run are the ones who are IN THE WAY of the commie in chief's plans to get us into the one world order.
I've already posted a thread on his back door method of collecting our guns through the U.N. and the sooner we're gone the happier that S.O.B. will be.
We'd best be up and able to vote come 2010 and vote the right way which is get all those bums we can out of office. That is if the commie in chief doesn't suspend the election due to a national emergency. Hell, he is the national emergency.

That danged 'task force' has NO actual practicing doctors with experience on it. These are politicos, more 'yes men' to back obummer's agenda. Form what I have been seeing and reading, a LOT of real doctors totally oppose this nonsense. Same with the HealthScare fiasco. People that KNOW are totally opposed to this BS. But they are NOT being listened to by the FedGov.

Now they've changed the pap test guidelines. First test at 21 years for every two years and after age 30 every THREE years. All the gurus have fallen into lock step (or goose step) with the recommendations just like before. The dominoes are starting to fall in favor of the deathcare bill. Now even the private ins. companies can deny anything "over and above" their reasonable care guidelines.

Trying to control medical care to the female population may actually be the beginning of a bizzare form of genocide.
If the women all die off, who will give birth to the next generation and pay the taxes under the Obama plan?

I think we all should be writing our congressman about impeaching the prez. The Prez has violated the American way of life.
We can also claim that he has to be incompetent or delusional, because who would heavily increase the tax burden on a society that is getting more poor by the moment and the unemployment figures are really not that actual figure of people with out jobs.
Stimulus money that created jobs in congressional district that don't exist, the volume of money in some area that created jobs is more than that person will made in a decade, so the return on the money is not acceptable.
Having "staff" in the White House that are an abomination to the American people and some are just plan criminals.
Delaying needed resource to fight and win a war, every serviceman who has died since June is the prez's fault now.
Restricting medical care via panel studies is a nice way to start rationing health care.
Start emailing your senators and congress people to start this process, don't worry about being put on some government list, you are already on one.

i seen that his health magnate isnt bowing to the mammogram screening ie; they had another news article stating that she said no matter what the gubbamint says do it at 40 not 50 ...hmm trouble in paradise ?
