This natural gas pipeline company came thru my area, they made a bunch of claims, most were lies, the intimidated people, tresspassed and a few other crimes. Some were arrested most weren't. But the the pipeline ruptured near me. This is a 42 inch pipeline that is to run at 1,400 psi with valve stations 17.5 miles apart. That is a lot of gas under pressure, we are glad it didn't catch fire.

Local people are really upset with the employees running away from the area.

Over the course of 2 years I asked the spokes person for the pipeline to give our EMAs the information and materials that would be need to keep our people from being burned or killed. Allen Fore of the pipeline said he never heard of such a request, except I asked him twice at different meetings and he gave the same reply.

This is what is of local concern, the pipeline is between the local fire chief' house and the fire house.  I live about a mile and half away from the pipeline.

Here is what was in the paper:

Fry,

The orginal path of the pipeline was thru my "backyard" between my shooting bench and my backstop. Then when I was hunting on my land I can across these folks, told them to go away or I would call the sheriff. It's a very long story, and there is no happy ending in sight.

i figured he was lookin for the best ( and cheapest) place for them to run it ...the link above is where they stored it underground by a community and it leaked( umm lots )i see new ones crisscrossing the prairie all the time ( as well as oil lines etc)alot of the farmers out here run their irrigation motors on natural gas ( ditto the oil wells )and any or all of them have bad potential ....

Fry,

The original plan was to go under the community reservoir, which is 200 feet above a future long wall coal mine. Then they were going cross my land. The cost of going under the reservoir the way they wanted to do it was too expensive and too dangerous. And the Army Corps of Engineers wouldn't approve the plans. Plus they had me shooting away on my land.

I told them if any one came on to my land, they would have to be able to indentify themselves with a picture ID, have a company picture ID. If they claimed to be a surveyor, they need to show me their license. If they could do all of this, then I would need to see the federal cettificate that allowed free access to peoples property. Except they could not get passed having a company picture ID cards.

This company tried to bully me, they threw their $1,500 an hour legal firm at me to intimidate me, I stood my ground. I was threaten with a law suit causing irreparable harm to the pipeline, I went to the judge and said that if they would show me their federal certificate, I would cooperate. The judge asked the laywer to show me that certificate, the legal eagles said it hadn't been issued yet. I ask the judge that these folks leave me alone until they had this certificate and that they complied with all of the laws.

So between the reservoir issue and the guy with the doctorate in engineering, they went another route. This company has done so much damage and caused so much ill will, that the next pipeline company due to come thru my area will probably meet up with farmers and their shotguns. I think that is sometime in late 2010, we all have time to stock up on ammo.

Right now people just want to know who is going to pay for the damages and when the county presecutor is going to file charges against the employees that ran away. Public Endangerment is a serious crime and that is what the people are asking for.

This is a mess with over 2,500 complaints filed with the feds and all of them were ignored.
