Good to see you're alive and kickin'. When you get back, you and your family are invited to SA for beer and BBQ.

The general population don't realize what a luxury it is to just hop in the car and drive down to the 7-11 to buy a 6 pack without worry.

You had me worried for awhile Gene...I had to inquire with some of your peeps if I had missed something.
There's a few coyote back here that have gotten old and fat while you've been gone. I know you'll you stay focused on the stinky pig Haji until your outta there. Let us know for sure when your out of the sand. We'll all breath a little easier and say a thank you to the man upstairs.

In my old age I have a new feeling about the enemy, I never really hated them, it was just my job. In my own mind I did it exceedingly well. Of course its been 40 years since I looked at anyone over a set of sights and the bad things tend to fade while the good tend to get bigger.
You know the real difference between an M16 and an AK47? The difference is the saftey on an M16 lies under your thumb and can be moved to full auto in an instant. On an AK you have to take your finger off the trigger and push it down.
This small almost insignificant fact is a matter of life and death. At least for me.

Thats where we differ 72.I hate their ****ing guts and hope they all die a thousand deaths of incurable gonorrhea of their mouths they pick up from their gay boyfriends they receive in paradise.
Something about watching my friends disappear in a cloud of flame in vehicles in front of me and the one that hit me and took my hearing makes me hate em.War is never a fair game but they are dirty little piles of coward pig shite.
Maybe one day I will have a different outlook on em,but I don`t regret pullin the trigger on a damned one of em.I hope those ones are barbequing their nuts in hell right now. Hatred is a hell of a thing, true hatred and yep I got it for em. I regret the ones who got caught in the middle of something they had no dog in the fight..that I regret but the ones that got their due......aint nothin but a thang, buzzards and worms gotta eat too..

earlier i almost posted..tryin to lighten the mood if nothing else ,were this in pvt i mite have,in truth we all deal with things in different ways and time and laughter are often the best medicine, for alot of things, yet in truth there's nothing funny about alot of things that we may try to lighten, both in our hearts and in the world...i wasnt there so you may dismiss me if u wish, but in a way i was there, there are many things that we cant explain and some things that we can explain but the words never seem to be quite interpreted as we wish or mean, many things give us pride, as well as anger and resentment, none of us are perfect nor do i expect us to be,we are but men and civilization is but a thin veneer that barely covers the animals that we are beneath it , i resent that we have helped so many countries...so many people, for precious little thanks if any at all...my thoughts run deep but for humanity my tears do weep, from time to time when my pen is free i scribble, some may call some of it poetry ,i never well ,some may indeed be considered prose, sometimes it's just my thoughts,on some obscure website i post some of my scribbles, many that were not prose were much like the one i'm fixin to share now ,the emoticons from there do not work here but the words between the [] 's pretty much explain what the emoticon would be ,this one was called
"my thanx ( redoux) "
i first published this back in december, my gratefulness isnt encompassed only on memorial day but each and every day as i do any small thing that another's sacrifice helped make possible ..yes even the freedom of my speech, there are those who risk life and limb so that freedom may prevail , to those i owe gratitude that my words will never be able to express, but also to those who give their time ,their sons and daughters, brother's sisters even mothers and fathers, sadly it reminds me every day that freedom isnt free -it is hard won and ever pressed,by their sacrifices we are blessed, some may never even think of it ,both those whom gave their all and those who enjoy the freedom at the cost of life and limb but it is in my mind everyday,it's not just about my country nor just my freedoms but it is for every person's rights, liberties and freedoms ....my thanx isnt sufficient,my humbleness isnt adequete..and while i possibly never will be able to convey for those whom gave their all - u have my gratitude [cry] my thanx and many of my tears ,i hope i manage to do you just as proud as you have done me and our great country .....
(the original blog below)
so with my thanx for those who sacrifice life limb and time so that we may be free "THANK YOU ! one and all " ! and i hope u like the video ! and plz feel free to share it !
http://www.gratitudecampaign.org/fullmovie.php
btw the link no longer works for the clip but this one does
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gr9Zb3sTfYg
and the full length
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MSfFYxSdKdo&feature=related "
indeed many many holidays throughout the year i consider memorial day,one thing that separated america from so many greedy countries is that for the longest time we didnt take over the country we just fought in ,we didnt keep the people nor the land and we never asked for much except a place to bury our hero's where they fell, to me that was selfless, and then we helped rebuild he shattered remains of what was left of that country ...from this lesson in history i learned not to be greedy ,money doesnt mean much to me ,the toys or possessions a man has or could have means nothing to me, if they are his and he earned them that is his right, i covet no man's belongings and i detest those who would steal from him ,in this modern age my principles seem almost outdated and sadly rare, those who sacrificed so that another may keep what was his ( such as freedom)is one of the very few things i admire, selflessness, along time ago it was so much more common than it is now ,sad that for the world was a much better place for it and yes i mourn it's passing as well,i cant say that i have contempt for those who feel they were born with entitlement, nay for i despise it,
amigo mio , time will soften and heal some, but not all of the scars , i understand alot of the resentment and some of the hate, but sadly hate is a poison that creeps slowly deeper and deeper until it poisons a man down to his soul, that i wish on no man,the comment i almost posted earlier was in response to 72's comment was that" yes he has a warm feeling but it's burning a lil brighter at the moment" helping clean up part of the mess from katrina hurt me deeper than i can ever admit, my hopes and belief's in humanity and more, the trials since havent exactly been a walk in the park ,there's alot i cant say in a public forum but this i can and i never say it unless i mean it, i love ya bro and yes u have my gratitude as well as my thanx

the guy in the white house's words yesterday regarding the nobel peace prize IMO tarnishes the word" humble" as well as the meaning of it ,the arrogance, his actions and body languages show something else than what his lips say but indeed my friend i am humbled, i like many grew up in troubled times, i never understood the hatred for our returning vets from nam and i never well , true some ,perhaps many joined voluntary of r reasons of their own but many were drafted and didnt want to go ( i cant blame them,it can be a scary thing for a young man) yet they did go because their country called, they did their duty even if they didnt want to be there, i find that comendable NOT despise-able ,what i found despise-able and despicable was how they were treated when they finally made it back home alive perhaps shattered or in pieces but alive,my head hung in shame at how our supposed fellow americans were treating those whom they enlisted and only did what was called upon them to do ..we all agree that war is hell, the cost go much much deeper than many can see or feel, the very first time i heard the song "angry american" i removed my hat as if it was the american anthem and perhaps it is a modern one, it still affects me today ( dayam good song IMHO ! )the radio may of over played it but there's alot in that song...sadly it is far away but i hope that someday our children will no longer have to fight for what is right,i doubt that it will be in my lifetime but that will never diminish that hope, oppression has many faces and guises usually motivated by some scum's greed and/or power trip ,my parents instilled the basic values in me that have helped make me who i am,that would not of been possible perhaps in another country ,there are those who would wish to extingish that light, i have often pondered why ? it goes back to that "greed" thing every time ....but still to my parents and those who made that possible i am grateful and eternally indebted to and yes unlike some i realize this ( btw ? i much prefer the lighter side of my pen and scribbles,i shared one the other day with our compadre rocky, allow me to share it here now with u )
from " manifesto; the scribbles of j." entitled "click"
click
a simple plain flower i saw in the mornin hour
dawns ray's dim as darkness begins to cower
covered in dew more than just glistening and damp
wild where mother nature had deemed it to plant
petals drooping eager for the brite day anew
thankful for the promise and the beautiful view
my eyes opened and the dream slipped away
tis but a picture i carry for a dark and dreary day...
i hope that every one has such a foto in their mind( now u can possibly understand the title and perhaps the depth)my humble thanx amigo
