Philly is very gun unfriendly, you have to be well west or north for that.  Don't fail to get fat on a real Philly Cheese Steak sandwich while you are there.  It is a pretty big town, so the opportunities for outdoor sports is limited unless you like to run.  There are some areas in town where that would be a beneficial skill. :troll:

If you have the time for it, go west into Lancaster County and take in some of the tourist attractions in Amish country.  In wayback times, there was a gun store called the Quarryville Gun Shop or something similar, it has been a long time since I was down that way.  Head south out of Lancaster on Rt 272, you will not be able to miss it.  Biggest gun shop on the planet, I think.  I lived south of there in the 70s, worked on the Peach Bottom Nuclear plant construction.

The food and the clubs are the only thing I remember about Philly. Yes they are very ungun friendly. I was stuck in Camden a bunch of years ago, so I saw the sights on both sides of the river, which was a greenish brown in color.

There are several High Power matches on the 27th of September in Pennsylvania. I don't know about Pennsylvania but at the matches here someone always brings extra ammo and a match grade rifle to loan to new shooters.

I don't know much about Pennsylvania geography but I'll bet if you check with william.theesfeld@gmail.com I imagine he can give you good information if you are interested. Note: This is an email address and not a link.
