Tuned in O'Reilly tonight and heard something that our upcoming "president" might have said...

Only this is supposed to come from Bush: he wants to use the Army internally in our country to help the Dept. of Homeland Security with possible terrorism within our borders..

I thought that using the regular Army inside our country was prohibited.... The Guard has been used, I know.

I don't know about you, boys and girls, but I can see the chances of abuse!!!!

Any opinions????

Posse Comitatus - The U.S. Military can not be used in the role of civilian police.

This idiot coming into power wants to have a internal army that would be a national police force of sorts.

Can you say POLICE STATE!

Good news is, this new camo they give us stands out in everything but popple stands.  So at least the IPF can't sneak up on us.  :D  I'm Nat'l Guard nowadays and get sick just thinking of what Obama is likely to do to this once great nation.

Obama is bad news any way you look at him. I used to watch the news regular, but every time they bring him on or show him  for any reason i change the channel. I just can't stand to look at this SOB . I support my country 100% but i will never support this man as President. In my Opinion we have a country without a leader for the next four years. Hope the US can survive this idiot and his so called  change to communism and socialism.

The difference between a Socialist and a Communist, is the Communist has all of your guns.

With this possible formation of a military styled national police, I start to question if Mr. Obama has ever read American History or studied American constitutional law.

I was born in Germany, live outside the U.S. until I was 14, then went into Army after I graduated from High School. Spent 3 1/3 years overseas during my 8 year career in the military, two tours in Vietnam, then Europe and South America, since that time I lived in Canada for 6 years.  With some travel to Europe over the years

Over the years I have seen what a internal security force looks like in other countries, I saw what the Soviet bloc countries had for internal security. I did get asked for my papers when I was crossing borders. I know things are now different in Eastern Europe.

The way that I see that we are headed with this president elect, is to be a gun free like England and Australia, have a national I.D. card and probably have a "jack booted" internal security force in this country.

I also think that we will see a president who has to solve the global economic crisis, as well as resolve two wars. So maybe over the course of the next 4 years he may be tied up with those problems and put his grand plan on hold while he is taxing and spending our money.

As far as the automobile industry, why is the gov thinking of bailing out the Big 3, there are other car manufactures that exist in this county, have the Big 3 merge with other more stable manufactures, just like the did the "banks".

If he truly wants to share the wealth, out of that $7 Trillion plan, if he gave each and every one of use $60,000, that would solve all of the problems from the grass roots levels up. You get the money and buy a new car or a house or whatever. That would create jobs and stimulate the economy.

I not only voted for him but I worked on his local campaign.  I had your same sentiments against  McCain and Palin and 4 more years of GW policies.

Things are so bad here in Detroit, I was willing to take a chance with my gun rights; we had to have change.

So far, it looks like nothing will really change on the economy front, the will be raging on, the war of drugs will still be in a losing situation, and bad judgement will be getting rewarded under these bail outs.

So the government will be taking our guns and our money.

And our kids will have to pay the bill.

I paid off my mortgage 15 years ago.  Now I'm paying off somebody else's house bill.

Maddening.

jjb2,

It is a matter of power and seeking more power. Then problem that I see is that there are too many veterans and non Obama people who are smart with some specialty training, that will defend America.

Klinton came to power and within a few days he changed his tune, he said he didn't know how bad things were. Obama promised a lot and now is back tracking. The economy is going to get worse is what he said, Big Industry is going to tank in some fashion or another unless the government bails them out.

I want to know where my middle class and pension tax breaks are?

A promise is a contract.

Jerry

Unless it's from a politician.. How can you tell when a politician is lying???   His mouth moves!!  Might sound like I'm disgruntled.. Hell, I've never been gruntled when it comes to politics.. ( Is gruntled even a word?)  (I checked-- it is a word.. means happy or pleased)...

The only two things in life I will ever trust.
God and a Colt in my hand:wink:

As I have stated in another thread, I believe in God and Guns, Colt, SIG, Browning, Kimber, etc, etc. A Browing 1919 would be really handy these days.

The last time I heard we were promised change, things got worse.
