The Current Channel on my satellite service was this show about the war in Mexico. The reporter said that many people were doing straw purchases of guns such as the Ak-47s and AR 15s and being paid by the Mexican gangs $5,000 for each weapon.

But they also stated that Texas is one of the few states that hadn't banned assualt weapons. I think most of this report was basic hog wash.

O.K. which states have banned Assault Weapons?

Jerry

I would love these libtards to show us where they are getting all there evidence from. We should just start our own news channel and fabricate our own news.

I can see it now...

"This just in on channel four news.. It has been confirmed that Nancy Pelosi is really the Joker. The bat signal has been activated and we are waiting for a response from Batman."

not sure which states have banned what, I do know Texas has few laws concerning long guns, I have read that the so-called assault weapons the cartels are using, were purchased or stolen from the Mexican government!

Story is about 90% BS. Local news has run a few "exposes" about guns from Texas ending up in Mexico. Think the statistic is 40 something percent of the TRACED guns come from Texas. Trouble is, most of the guns taken in raids on the cartels are NOT traced, (or traceble) and usually come from Mexican army, or smuggled in from Central America. Drug cartels aren't much intrested in semiauto versions...they can aquire full auto stuff just as cheaply, and with less risk. Less security at the southern border of Mexico than the US/ Mexican border.

the word is propaganda...and the anti gunner have no qualms about spreading it ,mexico has no qualms turning over guns that they think we can trace ,the guns such as machine guns and select fire and full auto they dont turn over (IMO because they know they didnt come from the usa's gun owners),the really sad part is there are folks who swallow the propaganda hook line sinker and hiway back to town ....

as far as i know california has the strictest anti assault weapons laws in the states (and blaming a inanimate object for human fault is about par for californa's politicians-they prolly even give the gun life while the perp gets out in 3-7 years)
