A govenor finally does something right in Arizona and now the media is playing it off as the worst thing there is.  Starting Oct 1st, I can finally carry my firearm into a restuarant to have dinner with my family.  The media is causing a hailstorm about how its going to increase more violence.  If they read the laws, they would understand the severe penalties of drinking and having a firearm at the same time.  Maybe they should put their focus on the drinking and driving.

My point to this.  i just needed to vent to people who would understand my frustrations with these people,

Thanks,

Fish

Wow, blood's really gonna run in the streets from that.

We were fortunate in Texas that some actual thought was given to establishments that sell alcohol for on premise consumption. If a business derives 51% or more of its sales from on premise alcohol sales, it is considered a bar, and you cannot carry in it. Restaurants that sell alcohol for on premise consumption don't meet that statue, so you may carry in them.

Good luck dealing with the bunny people.

with the law, resutuarants and bars can post a no firearm sign. My deal is, i'm not concerned with the person in the restuarant with the gun. Its the gap between the front door and my car door that concerns me. Now with this law, I will feel comfortable being able to protect my wife and kids when we go out for an evening together. I guess, the media doesn't see that. They just see a drunk waiving a gun. Never mind the drunk with car keys

the media also convienantely forget that it isnt the "legal" gun owners doing the mayhem and murder with guns but as always they coddle the true criminals and try to punish the law abiding citizens who make their tired tirades possible in the first place [sigh] btw ? if the law abiding citizens all went to say the moon and left the mass media here with those wut ya think would happen ? bet they wouldnt sale many stories or newspapers unless some one needed some kitty box lining (what a pleasant thought ...)

Local ignorant talk show host griped about it (Arizona's change) this morning. He had a poll: "Would you eat dinner in a restaurant that served alcohol, knowing that someone could be carrying a gun there?" He said, he would not. F***tard  surely doesn't understand Texas law, because I'm sure he does it all the time, without knowing.

God help the Bunny People.

Since 9/11/2001 I haven't left the house without at least ONE concealed Firearm, on more than a handfull of occassions. Not even to weddings. Although there I leave the .45 at home and take the "mouse gun .380 on my ankel.

Indiana has quite a few PERKS to residency that wern't there in places Like New York State, Wisconsin, Minnesota Illinois or Missouri. Although even there I was never that far from an equalizer. Never found the need to show one, but It is so comfortable to KNOW that should need one it's there.

I on very few occasions go anywhere without a gun.  Heck I don't even answer the door without one.  I've had a couple of o' snit situations that came close to someone starring down the tunnel.  I can't get my wife to carry, but she makes sure i am.

I had one run in down in Austin with some hippy old man with a serious chip on his shoulder.I think he was armed and I didn`t have my SIG.We nearly went at it and I had already cocked my right hand to crush his larynx then commence to really hurting him.He didn`t pull his pistol which was wise on his part.I moved in close on him as we exchanged words and was waiting for it as I suspected it.I`d already made my mind up, go ahead and skin that poodle shooter and I`ll kill you with your own gun buddy.I had my Fairborne folder in my front pocket clipped to my work jeans.I figured I aint gonna have time and have to catch that arm before he gets the square enough to pull the hammer.Catch it turn it under his chin and then pull it for him.
I hate cities fellas. That scum bag almost got one of us killed because the noise of a concrete saw on a job next to him set him off.He just picked the wrong day to talk shit to me.I`f I`d had my 45 I would have dared him to pull whatever junk he was toting but I`d done it from 25 yards then drilled his ass..
it sucks getting old and being grouchy I guess.

The ALTERNATIVE to getting old is dieing young. Can't get to HEAVEN till we're dead. I'm not in a hurry for either one to happen. So I am packing where ever. I don't worry about bars, because with the diabetes, I seldom have anything of the "adult nature" to drink. Doc says I can have ONE. So, why bother to get started if that's all I'm gonna have.

As for the comment on CITIES, you're damned right they do. Clear back to President Jefferson, where he expressed his opinion of them with the statement that"When we are as crowded into the cities as they are in EUROPE we will become as corrupt as they are in EUROPE."

I thought it might be a COMFORT that "GREAT MINDS THINK ALIKE."
