How do you deal with "static Elec" that hangs the powder up in the charge funnel. Mine is plastic. Had a problem with the weight cup but changed to aluminum

Aluminum funnel.
I have no problem with my plastic funnel, you may try the following remedy at the "source" at the powder measure.
Hang a strip of Dryer sheet under the cap down into the powder. I do not remember the source of that info, it dates to my early days of shotshell loading, to hang a strip in the powder bottle to stop powder hanging on the inside of the container, MEC press.
If the plastic funnel is old, a new one may be in order, as I believe they are treated to not cary static and yours may be worn, or contaminated, away.
I really don't have the issue, but, my basement humidity might be helping me out, it is ever so slightly less dry there than upstairs, all year around.

Is your funnel new? IF so, keep running powder through it and it will eventually stop.
IF not, wash it in warm water and liquid dishsoap. After drying, run several charges of powder through it.

I use dryer towels for antistatic purposes and also anti rust. My machinist tool box has the store brand dryer sheets in it and never had a rust problem.

The towel will swell up when it is saturated, but I never had one do that yet, I change them out every few months. Some times I change the scent, so my tools are spring time fresh.

I dont know what it would be that prevents rust, but I do know I made the mistake of cutting one up and putting the strips in my tumbler.... the strips were new...not used. The cases come out clean but "oily"...or greasy feeling. SO there must be something in them....

From the wiki:
Fabric softeners work by coating the surface of the cloth fibers with a thin layer of chemicals; these chemicals have lubricant properties and are electrically conductive, thus making the fibers feel smoother and preventing buildup of static electricity. Other functions are improvements of iron glide during ironing, increased resistance to stains, and reduction of wrinkling.
.....
Contemporary fabric softeners tend to be based on quaternary ammonium salts with one or two long alkyl chains, a typical compound being dipalmitoylethyl hydroxyethylmonium methosulfate.[2] Other cationic compounds can be derived from imidazolium, substituted amine salts, or quaternary alkoxy ammonium salts. One of the most common compounds of the early formulations was dihydrogenated tallow dimethyl ammonium chloride (DHTDMAC).

Wow it's just fabric softner but some of the words in there made me feel stupid.

You are supposed to use them in "used" condition after the better half has used them in the dryer. otherwise they're too 'powerful" and leave residue on the brass. Just ask me how i know that.

An old machinist told me try them, he could not explain why they worked, but he said these were alot better than Camphor and cheaper.
