Any one out there start with with the Lee Loaders:

http://www.leeprecision.com/cgi/catalog/browse.cgi?1215307991.5971=/html/catalog/cleeloader.html

I used to load 45 ACP and 30-06 with these guys on my living room floor, at that time I lived in base housing, so I had enough room for the family and not much more.

These are classics that are still made and are still useful.

Hello there, Jerry.

I started with these Lee Loaders and now have a few of them in the following calibers:

38 special - (My first kit, where it started it all)

357 Mag -

30-30

7.62 x 54r (I still use this to neck size as my Redding dies only size full length.)

30-06

308

I am glad I have them.

Cheers

Jerry,
I started with the Lee Loader in 30-06 and 30-30.  I don't know why, but I had a problem with a primer detonating once in awhile, but I was hooked on reloading forever.

Did my first reloading on a friend's RCBS Partner & bought myself a Rockchucker Supreme master reloading kit last year.
I've been adding stuff ever since.
The two things that have made a REAL difference to ease of reloading are the RCBS Chargemaster combo & a set of Hornady L-N-L bushings & adapter.

STARTED AND STILL ONLY USE MY LEE TARGET LOADER, WITH A HORNADY POWDER SCALE.  I LIKE TO DO IT IN THE HOUSE AND TAKE MY TIME WHILE WATCHING TV.   NO PLANS TO GET A PRESS.......

Started with a Lyman Spartan single stage. I still have it and use it when I load for
rifle or a cal that I don't have a conv kit for.

I loaded everything on that single stage for a loooooong time. I still continue to find stored brass thats sized & flared, ready to primmer.

In the last year I've procured a Lee cheepy of some sort, two 550B's and three RCBS lubrisizers. That otta do it for now.

Sprue,

Sounds like you set until Christmas, then maybe a Hornady progressive or maybe a Dillon 1050.

Well, I've loaded thousands on that Spartan single and was quite content. So I think that the 550b's will suffice until my departure.

Now for Xmas on the other hand, if not sooner, a Star or a 03A3 perhaps?

Outta curiousity Jerry, what do you do with the other hand while you're loading with the 1050 ? You got two of 'em side by side? LOL

I first started to handload back in 1982 on a Lyman Spar-T press, which I still use today.

I started on the RCBS Jr in 1968, birthday gift from my dad. Now my boy's been loading on it, and I have a RockChucker.

I am utterly flabbergasted there aren't a ton of you who started with the Lee Anniversary Kit with the old Challenger press. This was my first setup a little over a year ago.

I've since gifted the press to a young GI starting out in reloading and installed the Lee Classic Cast and Lee Classic Cast Turret press.

But I thought almost everyone started on this kit! I'm surprised.
