I'm new to reloading, and I'm trying to find somewhere that has brass for my .221 Fireball. I've found several places that list it (Cabala's, Midway, Natchez, etc.) but all of them say "Out of Stock", and no back-ordering. Is there another business out there that I can purchase the brass from? I've got a really nice custom firearm, and no brass at all for it. Thanks for the help.

I am sorry no one has answered your post. I have no knowledge of the Fireball except the is was invented specifically for the XP100 Remington pistol. I believe it shares the same head size as 223 so brass should not be a problem for the next 100 years or so.
I not sure how long 221 is so just resizing probably will be just the first step. Trimming to length and maybe turning the neck to the correct thickness will probably also be required.

With regrets that I know nothing about this cartridge either, except that it throws a wonderful fireball from a Contender. Really impressive after dark.

Hi Texas Boy.
I just became a member of the Handloaders membership. Read about your question about 221 Fireball Brass. I have gotten mine from Midway. Don't have the address handy but check them out on the web via google if you wish. I use the .221 brass to make a 20Vartarg round. It's a .221 case necked down to 20 caliber. One very mean and fast cartridge...almost as good a my 204 Ruger in velocity and even more accurate out to 250 yards. I generally use 13 grains of Lil Gun behind a 30 grain Berger HP. With the 204 I am using 26 grains of Rel#7...generally getting the same results. 20VT is quieter...no recoils...does not heat up as fast ...and a real great round. Tod Kindler really came up with a winner... Thought you would be interested in knowing what you can do with a .221 Fireball case...I have a Ruger77VT with a tweaked trigger and a Lilja Barrel with a 39X scope. Rifle is heavy barreled and shoots 1/4 mi, 5 shot groups at 100 yads on a good day...as long as I do my part. Hope you can find the .221 brass.
