I have been playing with my Lee Hand Press for a couple of days, and it does have it's place on my bench. I have done some 357 Mag resizing with it and bullet lubing. I don't think I have enough strengthto resize a 300 RUM in it, but I didn't get it for that purpose.

If I have to go into the field for an extended stay this would be nice to reload with, I think all of the stuff that I would need to load 357 Mag, 45 ACP and 45-70 would work in this.

Any one have thoughts about this little work horse?

Jerry

Jerry, I've always thought that one of these would be nice to have for load development. I'd size and prime all my cases on the reloading bench and take cases, bullets, powder, scale and hand press with seating die to the range. I could start with lower loads and work my way up through until I got the load that shot the best without having leftover loads above the max for my gun to take apart etc. Might have to do the weighing on the dash of the truck to get out of the wind but other than that I think it would work pretty slick. I have a set of Lyman 310 tools in 22 caliber, 30 caliber and 9mm. They can be really handy.

With this I can neck size most of the 22 center fires and 30 center fires and all the various 9mm and 38 and 357.

I Use my old steel made 310 tools for this, and it works great!

Only disadvantage is, that my tools require special dies, but I have them for 222Rem, .308W and 30-06.
