Just got this info emailed from Midway. They talked Federal into loading some low pressure, 7/8 oz 12 gauge shotshells. Seems like a good idea for those, like me, with little experience in loading shotshells who want a light load for training kids or shooting older guns.http://midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/showproduct?saleitemid=417403

Charlie, I'm reloading something similar for my 12 Guage right now for Skeet. They are a nice load. RD

I've been loading that for a while, a good Grouse or Dove load. With #6 shot, it works for early-season pheasants where they flush close.
I think Midway/Federal missed out on one thing however. There are still a lot of short-chambered guns (2 5/8" and 2 9/16") sitting around with no shells to fit. If they had made a 2 1/2" shell instead of 2 3/4", they would have made more gunners happy.
