I looked at a"Super full" choke for my 835 yesterday at Academy sports.It was made by some other company I don`t remember.I am wondering if I would have any problems with it using 3 1/2 magnums in #4 buck shot..:confused:

Yup, its for Wiley..:thumbs::lol:

Timber,

The only suggestion that I would have is to make sure you use an extended "Super Full" tube that has the constriction out beyond the muzzle of the barrel itself. This prevents transfering any stress from the choke tube itself into the muzzle that might otherwise damage the barrel. It's easier, and cheaper to replace a bulged choke tube, than it is to replace a barrel. I know a few guys that did in fact bulge their barrels from over choking a very heavy Magnum shot payload. This can happen more easily with steel or Tungsten type shot.  billt

Timber,

They usually have some sort of cautionary stuff on the package itself but I believe you'll proably be safe like billt said.  So long as you stick with the lead stuff you should be alright.

Mossy 835 is a pretty dang good shotgun for the money.  Saw one take a gobbler 3 years ago at 52 paces!

Thanks for the info fellas.The one I looked at extends out of the barrel.Come Friday I think I `m gonna go buy one..:thumbs:

Hey Mountaineer,I like this shotgun.It is light and handles well.Its basically brand new.Who knows ,I might even take up turkey hunting again.I haven`t been in a long time,(makes a good excuse to buy a choke too)...:shameon:

I gave up on Turkeys after my second hunt called on to within about 150 yards and the sorry bastard stood on the hill gobbling and strutting then walked back down the other side of the hill. Only shooting I did that day was shooting some buffalo (fish) in the Arkansewer river.
