Do once fired hulls need to have anything a spiner or a spin doctor run through them before reloading a shot shell?

Thanks,

Jerry

No. The one sold by BP works after a fashion on raggedy hulls or if you're going to Roll Crimp, but 99.736% of the time you can load just fine without it. If you want to recondition a hull and don't want to spend the price BP charges, a lot of old curling irons are just the right size for 12 Gauge. To "recondition" and then Fold Crimp can actually give poor results.

I agree with 45 Colt. You do not need to do anything but reload them. The wad fingers on the reloader will expand them enough as the wad passes through. The memory in the folds is an asset. RD

I tried the curling iron thing, it does work, but RD was right the crimp that is there helps a lot.
