Saw an ad the other day for a Browning A5 12ga.. Visited the seller the next day and viewed the gun - beautiful condition, with only a few minor defects in the wood. Manufactured by FN in 1960.. 28" vent rib bbl, original intact FN butt plate.
I may have paid too much for the gun, but the seller threw in 15 boxes of modern 12ga ammo. As I was leaving, he stopped and gave me two Uncle Mikes nylon shell belts full of Federal 00 buck and a soft case. I do have an old 870 that can use the buckshot.
He stated that he bought it new in 1961, and only had about 250 rounds through it. That may or may not be true, but judging from the condition in and out, may be close..
Now I'm the only kid in the block with two A5s manufactured in 1960.. Hey, why not? It's my favorite shotgun..

Nice acquisition. I only shot about 5 rounds through an A5 at the trap range one day when we were trying out guns we had never shot. It came up nice and broke every bird I fired it at. What more can you ask? RD

They are amazing guns, I have one in 12g, but my brother has one in 16g. Mine is a 1958, but I am not sure of when his was made.
3006, good going, you should be proud. Now you can go out and shoot it this weekend while the rest of us are either working or BBQing.
