I loaded .45 ACP target loads with Winchester Super Field and Winchester Super Target, which are shotgun powders.
Is everybody confused yet?
Lot's of overlap out there. Look at the manufacturer/importer's website. Most have data for multile uses.

| Novashooter. No it's not OK! Shotguns and shotgun loads are not like rifles. There are no pressure signs until it's too late. ALL powder producers specify that shotgun loads be reproduced exactly with NO substitution of components for a reason. I can count on one hand the number of rifles I've seen destroyed with handloads. Shotguns, I can't remember all that I've seen. IMO very risky business. A shotgun reloader for nearly 20 years. RD

| WheezenGeezer, I stand corrected!!! I was sure Tite Group was being confused with Tight Wad and that Tight Group was for pistol use only. I have loaded TiteWad but never Tite Group in shotshells. I've also loaded huge volumes of Clays and Longshot. I never noticed Tite Group in the Shotgun loads before. My apologies to all concerned. I do however stand by my no substitutions rant.
