I've witnessed two elk taken at 660 & 700yds with the TSX

Both dropped with one shot. One from a 300WSM & the other a 300RUM & both with 150gr bullets.

No experience with the tipped TSX.

All of the Barnes bullets have good reviews on Midway. They are probably worth a shot if you are willing to pay the $$$.

i've run barnes thru my 300 win mag in the past, and can't say as i've noticed any difference in killing effect, exits, etc over cup-n-core bullets on deer and smaller.

never tried them on elk, and doubt i ever will.

I use the 140 gr TSX in my .270. Devastating on elk and Moose.

I also use the 168 TSX in my 300 Win Mag, VERY Effective:wink:
