i was wondering if anybody has reloaded with these bullets in 243,or 22-250 as i was looking for a good bullet for my son, the 243 with a 105gr a-max,and the 22-250 with a 80gr a-max i've talked to quite a few people and they said that both would be good for him to shoot,my book does not have any info on these particular bullets so i guess i'll have to buy a hornady manual

I don't know about the 243 but it is unlikely that your 22-250 will have a fast enough twist in the rifling to stabilize and 80 grain bullet.
The 80 grain 224 bullet requires at least a 1 in 8 twist rate to stabilize the 80.

i have to agree with the 22-250 being perhaps too heavy to stabilize( most 22-250's have a 1 in 14 twist best served with a 52-55 bullet )
the 243 is very close to what may not stabilize(check target for key holing )
my hornady V has it listed with h4350 start 36.9 and 41. max(their test gun win model 70 24"1 in 10 twist ...2500 & 2800 fps respectfully)mite look at what ver powder website u wish to use u mite get lucky !

I use 35 Grs. of IMR 4320 with a Hornady 55 Gr. V-Max bullet. I get excellent accuracy out to 300 yards with this load. With a 52 Gr. bullet I bump it up 1 grain to 36. Also, my cases are neck sized and I use Remington 9 1/2 LR primers, I have used benchrest primers but didn't notice any difference in accuracy so for the sake of saving money after the BR primers are shot up I will proably not bother getting them again.
As for the 80 Gr. bullet I would stay away from it, as mentioned by the other folks unless it has a fast twist rate don't bother your just throwing your money down range
I don't shoot 243, but I am looking into a 243 WSM or WSSM soon so sorry I can't help you there.
Good luck,
Slingshot / Jeff
