Powder Valley has today,28 March, Accurate XMR 2495 powder in stock.:thumbs::thumbs: This powder has relative burn rate of 100 whereas H-4895 has a burn rate of 99;  close enough for me.  I will work up loads for this just like a change in powder lots for a .308.  FYI, Varget has burn rate of 105 so we should be good to go.

Some years ago a couple of us tried the 2495. It gave us the worst case of copper fouling I have ever seen. After 8 to 10 rounds accuracy dissappeared and cleaning took and extended session. Muzzle flash was horrendus.

I would ask if it has been reformulated before I bought any.

Look here at what the expert for he Match grade M1A says:
http://www.zediker.com/downloads/14_loading.pdf

page 11 suggests2495:cool:; and this is the expert on that rifle.  That rifle has the fastest lock / cycle time of any semi-auto, acording to that author, so 4 reloads on the brass is max.; mil or civy street.
