Has anyone used the Berger VLD hunting bullets?  If so, how accurate are they and what kind of performance did you get on game?  Bullet weights, terminal performance, expansion, etc. is what I'm looking for.  I'm thinkin about loading some 140's in my 7 mag for this falls mule deer hunt.  Thanks

I would buy a box and try them. I have used Berger bullets in the past they worked very well in my 308 bolt gun for deer hunting in West Virginia.

Not known where you are at, impedes me from giving some advise because in the area where I hunt, we have a lot of close shots and a lot of long shots, so 30 yards or less or 150 yards or more.

I hunt in far west Texas where the shots can be from as close as 100 yards to however far you think you're good enough to shoot.  I't snot unusual for mule dder to be killed at over 400 yards.
