I know that lake city brass is the best for the m1a. What is the next best brass?

Greek brass is good. If you can find it for .308. for .30-06 it's great.

The PMC brass in .308 is real good,it's made to Mil-specs. It has proved to be real strong, ive gotton some real tight groups from it with alot of different powders. Keep in mind it has less internal volume then commercal brass thus reduce your loads by a couple grains:thumbs:

I've got 1500 Lake City and Win Mil brass fully prepped and shiny bright if someone needs some, and 300 New Winchester 308 as well.
