Fella's;
I'd like to get another 100 new .338 Winchester magnum brass, Winchester brand. So far, I'm chumped. Anybody know of a source at anything remotely resembling a realworld price?

I just paid $24 for 20 pieces of 300 RUM brass. Which is about what people want for once fired in the same caliber. That was a real deal for me.
You might try:

These days real world prices are high, way too high, but you have to find it where you can if you need it.

Went to Midway, they're willing to take my order but show the actual brass to be out of stock. In any case their price is about $32.00/50. Contrast that to this: Scheel's, a local emporium, did have .30-06 brass, when in stock, at $19.95/50. Went by yesterday & they have a new shipment of .30-06 brass in at $14.95/50!
With that in the wind, hell no, I ain't payin' $32.00/50!

These days sometimes we have to either wait for the right price or grin and bear it when we buy something at an unrealistic price.

i note that midway states back ordered until 2-5 2010 ....wow it surely is then one of winchester's seasonal runs ( such as my 284 and 375 brass) every where i look that 375 brass is about 25-35 $$ and it's basically shortened 38-55 or blown out 30-30 albeit a lil thicker ( supposedly) to handle higher pressure....i rarely see mag brass at 30-06 brass prices usually double or 3 times as much but i was fortunate i stocked up way back when i could but even then it wasnt cheap IMO powder valley is out as well and it is one of the most umm economical places i know ( and would be $26 @50 )i suppose if u could find a deal on some longer mag u could reform them ???

Yes, the Nosler brass is about double the price. With shipping I just spent over $130 myself on 100 338WM cases.
See their website. When you need something now, this week, you pay extra. They are good cases, but the price was high.

If you find .338 WinMag brass at a price anywhere close to 30-06, I'm going to be flat off incredulous.
Due to near-universal usage, I suspect they make millions of pieces of '06 brass, in a production line that runs year-round. .338 WinMag is going to be made as a "specialty run", made maybe quarterly, or something, measured in 10's of thousands of pieces, annually, very bad comparison.
Winchester sells .220 Swift for $47/100.
Winchester sells .223 Remington for $31/100.
.45acp for $30/100
454 Casull for $79/100
Major differences in demand dictate major differences in price.
Your .338WinMag, Prices Per 50:
Winchester $36
Cabellas $35 (on sale for $33)
Oncefiredbrass.com, $30/100 (once fired Winchester, and out of stock)
Shooters ProShop, Remington Nickel-plated, $31.50
Shooters ProShop, Nosler Custom, $62
Shooters ProShop, Winchester, $32
Sinclair Intl, Norma brass, $127/100
You are going to pay a high price for that brass, period. Sorry, but, you just are, and a lot of the above, are out of stock, not just Oncefired.
