OK Fllas, fess up.How many 10/22 shooters do we have on the board?..I love mine and I can sit for hours and shoot CCI mini mags in it.I use it on a stock tank picking turtles off and just shooting cans with my boy and his model 60 Glenfield..

Of course I have a 10/22.  Doesn't everyone?!   I really need to get a Volquartsen trigger for it.   I hate that creepy, gritty, crappy trigger that comes from the factory.  Even with the bad trigger the little gun has taken more squirrels and rabbits than any other gun I own.  It even has a couple 'yotes to it's credit.   Gotta give Bill Ruger a thumbs up for making one of the most fun 22s ever.

Have one of those little boogers too.  Bought it new in '74. It's a standard model, when standard models had nice walnut stocks.  I am on my second factory barrel. This thing has seen who knows how many thousands of rounds run through it.

Here's mine. I bought it back in 1971. It's got a real nice tiger striped Walnut stock. I haven't shot it a lot in the last few years because I bought a Marlin 39A, and I really like the lever actions.  billt

Yep, me to. I got foolish last month and orderd a 50 rnd. clip for it from Cabela's. I sent it back because it did'nt have steel lips. I bought it for home defense but it melted after first use and you could'nt load it anymore. Cabela's advertize it as a Ruger clip but its not. Dang , i wanted so much to have someone try and break-in and have that 50 rounder let loose.

I used to have a Mitchell 50 round drum magazine for mine.  What a piece of cr*p!  Fire, jam, fire, jam, jam, jam, fire.   :pissed:    The two Ramline 25 and 30 round mags I have are alright.  They only jam once in a while.   I mostly use the Ruger 10 rounders.

If you have a 77/22 you can use 10/22 mags in it.  But don't put a 77/22 mag in a 10/22!!!   The bottom of the magazine is squared and flared and will get stuck in a 10/22.   How do I know that?

Hey Gunrunner,  just thought i'd let you know that those clips that Cabela's sells for the 10/22, at least the 25, 30, and 50 round ones are made by Ram- Line also. There the biggest piece of crap goin. The Cabela's cat. advertises them as Ruger Clips, but thats false. ''Buyer Beware''.

Hmm I wonder what happened, I used to own a 10/22 and bought several Ram-Line mags and never had a problem.

Hey Blkpwdernut, I guess its like a lot of other things made today. They cut down on quality so they can put more in there pockets. I've had a lot of guys on the range, ''Ft. Bragg'', tell me they had problems with Ram-Line products lately. From now on I stick to steel lips only

I've got 2 10-22's, along with a Marlin 39A, a Winchester M52, and a MkII and Single Six. Did I mention I liked .22's?? On one of the 10-22s I used a rubber coated RamLine stock and a blued bull barrel. I was left a TON of old ammo. I grabbed up all the opened boxes, and lo & behold, EVERYTHING went into the same hole @ 25 yds!! I say this one is most definitely a KEEPER!

Fella's;

I've got a 10/22.  Then there's Garou's 10/22 in the safe.  And there's the daughter's 10/22 also.  They breed I think.

The first one went to Tom Volquartsen in Carroll Iowa & got 'done' there.  Full action job & a Volquartsen Tensionlite barrel installed.  The daughter claimed it & that's like arguing with a force of nature.  The son decided he was gonna build the one he got & make it better.  He ordered a bunch of parts from Volquartsen & assembled it himself.  I don't know if it's better, but he thinks it is.  I had to get one for myself.

I obtained a 10/22 Deluxe & right now it's bone stock with a Sightron S1 3-9 rimfire on it.  I'll probably have the barrel remounted by a good smith & put a Volquartsen hammer in myself.

There's other .22's hangin' around in that safe too.  They breed, I know they do.

This one I built from parts that I scavenged from the net. The barrel is a 20 incher from a Wal-Mart special and the stock I had to have after I seen a pic of it. The receiver I already had from a 10/22 that some one tried to make it look tacticle so I striped it and sold the parts on ebay. This is a suprisingly accurate 22. Jimmy

i have a 1022!!   i got a fluted heavy barrel and laminated thumbhole stock set from midway when they first came out.........    glad i did! they have really jumped in price!   took my rifle to volquartsen's and they put in a target hammer and did some more trigger work on it then had them install a buffer and an extractor......  year before last i sent my bolt to cpc with $55 and randy reworked it......  i put on some sling studs and got a harris bipod for it,a good long time friend had a simmons .22 mag 4 by 32 scope he wasn't using so it became mine.......   i honestly have never shot a more accurate and FUN rifle in my life!!

My 10/22

I've have had it for about 20 years, I sanded the stock down and added a clear coat about three years ago.  I added a Simmons SKS scope couple years back seems to be a good fit.

My brother had one that he got in 1971 , he got killed in a plane crash in 79 and dad turned it over to me . When i got it ,it was in really used shape since my brother back packed it when he would go hunting which was most of the time (he lived in alaska)

only had one job that he worked a full year after he got out of the army in 69 and spent a llot of time in the woods . Any way i got a clark barrel .90 and butler creek stock you can cover my 50 yd group with a nickle and the only thing i use is wal-mart ammo (federal) .  I liked it so much that i got the 10/22 Mag i am not real happy with the groups and hope to get a green mtn barrel hopefuly i will get better groups with it     I also have a Rem. Targetmaster that is about shot out and only use the cci caps to shot piggens in my son-in-laws barn , a marlin and a another rem model (what ever) that i would like to get scoped but couldnt be leave it was going to cost me 50.00 to do it   got to hold off to do that

Very nice NY Marksman, i have been thinking about getting one of these and getting sick with it. Boyds laminate stock in red, white and blue and a heavy fluted barrel in red, then pwdercoat the reciever blue and mabey paint the scope in red and blue. I saw one done in blue and purple and it made me sick but after my last concussion all of  suden i want one and the tackier the better.:bulletcaster:
